POWER: Shapeshifting and Minot Telepathy
STRENGTHS:. Shapeshifting: Valen is capable of shifting his shape to assume the appearance of any humanoid creature Valen has seen or imagined. He also can shift to give himself physical weapons or tools such as claws, wings, tails etc. When shapeshifted his voice and clothing also changes to match his new form.
Minor Telepathy: Valen can look into another persons mind and see their greatest fears and desires along with having the ability to read an individuals surface thoughts. Valen can also establish a telepathic link with a willing individual that allows them to exchange mental messages with each other.
WEAKNESS: Shapeshifting: Valen can only transform into something humanoid in nature. Even if he takes the form of another mutant, he does not gain their powers unless it is a physical characteristic like claws or wings.
Minor Telepathy: Valen can only focus on one person at a time when using any of his telepathic abilities. Any attempt to focus on multiple people results in migraines, nosebleeds, and even seizures if he tries for too long

OVERALL. Valen is a charming devil in a quite literal sense for the most part. He's manipulative, deceptive and vain but he is not without some redeeming qualities. If someone somehow either catches his interest or gets close to him he will show a sweeter side, such as attempting to learn sign language when he learned that a member of Gavin's circus had no tongue.

OVERALL. Valen was always a social kid growing up. In school he was the class clown and he had no shortage of friends. This was true for Valen throughout High School until his senior year when he learned he was a mutant. He learned he could hear the surface thoughts of others when he learned that his mother was having an affair. He was determined to prove the affair to his dad and began following his mother around with a camera for evidence. He learned he could shapeshift when his mother caught him following her and he inadvertently transformed into his favorite tv show character.
When his mother saw his transformation, she threatened to sell him out to G.A.D.E.M if he didn't keep the affair a secret. Of course, reading her surface thoughts, Valen knew she was going to report him anyway and he responded to her threat by promptly killing her. When Valen returned home he was met with a horrid sight. His father was dead, killed by a heart attack and Valen was all alone.
Valen survived by using his powers to con, trick and exploit people out of their money. He was later recruited by Gavin's circus for his skills and now uses his powers to enthrall and wow the audience of Gavin's circus.
